Assurance University Emerging Business Webinar

With many small businesses, there are large potential risks but not enough resources to easily identify and mitigate them. To ensure your business is protected, Assurance University will be hosting a 3-part webinar series on key exposures and insurance topics relevant to emerging business owners. The webinar series will take place through the months of August, September and October.

The first webinar, Cyber Liability for Small Businesses, will be conducted on Wednesday, August 29 from 12-12:30 p.m. CT. Although most mainstream coverage references data breaches within large, well-known organizations, small businesses are the most at risk due to the lack of systems and staff to consistently manage cyber threats and security. This 30 minute webinar will guide you through safeguarding your company from cyber-hackers, data theft and major financial loss.

Round two of the webinar series will take place on Wednesday, October 3 from 1:30-2 p.m. CT and will discuss key person life insurance. In the event of the loss of a business partner, small businesses can be put at major financial risk and may never recover. Business owners can purchase life insurance as a cost-effective strategy to protect their business. Attendees will learn how to structure plans for business continuation needs and the alternative uses for life insurance.

The final webinar in the series is scheduled on Thursday, October 11 from 12-12:30 p.m. CT and will explore the effects of a hard market on small businesses. Presented by Assurance President Dan Klaras, attendees will gain insight into the primary differences between a hard and soft market. Dan will explain how insurance premiums are impacted, as well as ways in which a small business can survive harsh market conditions.
