Lydia's House Names Karen Kirk Executive Director
St. Louis – Lydia’s House St. Louis has selected Karen Kirk of St. Charles, Mo. as the executive director for the
not-for-profit organization that is the only area organization to provide up to two years of transitional housing and services to area survivors of domestic
violence and their children.
Kirk comes to Lydia’s House from the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of St. Charles where she most recently served as
assistant executive director for the multi-unit, youth-serving, not-for-profit organization. She began work with the organization as a volunteer in 1997, serving in a number of positions until her most recent role.
“Karen brings great depth of experience
and passion to Lydia’s House,” said Sandy McKinney, vice president of the Lydia’s House Board of Directors and co-chair of the Search Committee. “Her leadership abilities will help Lydia’s House to grow and more effectively serve area women and children in need. Karen will be engaging all of Lydia’s House constituents in support of our mission to end domestic abuse.”
