A Patch contributor tells us Picasso's Bistro in Chesterfield Valley has closed down after about six months in operation.
Located on Edison Avenue, just across Long Road on the Missouri River side, a drive-by photo shows it looked deserted. It's in the same center as PM BBQ
It served what was billed as heart-healthy food, and occasionally had musical entertainment in the evenings.
An employee in a neighboring hot dog/sandwhich shop said Picasso's closed down about two months ago.
Tables with white tablecloths were visible still through the bistro's windows.
Anyone ever go there? Eat there? Miss it? Never heard of it? Know who owned it?

I ate there last summer. It was owned by a woman who was a cardiologist, thus the reason for "heart healthy" food. My friends food was OK, mine was terrible-no flavor. The owner sent it back to the kitchen, but second order wasn't any better. Not many people in the place on a Sat. eve.

Thank you Charyl. Was it all vegetarian?

I'm not surprised they are out of business. I bought a Groupon for this place and attempted to use it there at least 3 different times by making a reservation in advance as the Groupon stipulated. The owner was uncooperative and each time she had an excuse as to why she couldn't accomodate me. The 4th time I just walked in, did not reveal I had a Groupon, and still the owner would not seat us w/o a reservation. The place wasn't even that crowded. When I saw that a second Groupon was being sold, I commented about my bad experiences and Groupon generously refunded my purchase.

Wow! There's quite a bit to learn about running a restaurant, isn't there!? Thanks for the input.
