Wilma Dolan Identified as Victim In Fatal One-Car Crash

Chesterfield resident's vehicle hit a traffic light base.

An 88-year-old woman died Wednesday when the white minivan she was driving crashed into the base of a traffic light at Olive Road and Chesterfield Parkway.

Police said Thursday morning the victim was Wilma Dolan.

She reportedly is a resident of Friendship Village—a retirement housing complex on Olive Road next to Faust Park, in Chesterfield.

Chesterfield police reported the one-car crash at 1:38 p.m.

Candidate for City Council David Arbogast, whose office overlooks the intersection, let Patch know that eastbound lanes on Olive were closed, but police were directing traffic through the intersection. (3:10p.m. Wednesday)

Arbogast, a Ward I resident, told Patch there were about six police cars at the scene, and a fire engine rolled through at one point.

"It's looks pretty bad," he said.

This fatal crash follows on the heels of a fatal crash Tuesday morning in Chesterfield, at Olive and Creve Coeur Mill Road.

An earlier typo here put Dolan's age with a two-year difference.
