Santa Arrived In Sleigh to Chesterfield Hotspots
Rain finally cleared and crowds clamored.
Lack of rain allowed Santa to travel around Chesterfield Tuesday night in his Monarch Fire Protection District sleigh, and meet with kids and pose for photos.
Patch caught up with Santa on the last stop of the evening—about 8 p.m.—at Highcroft Ridge Elementary school, located just south of Highway 40/64 near Chesterfield Parkway.
Mrs. Claus was nowhere to be seen, but the Jolly Old Elf had plenty of Monarch firefighters helping light the way and tend to his sleigh.

Other scheduled sleigh rides by Santa were rained out, so Santa had stayed in various district firehouses and headquarters to meeting with families. But the sleigh is quite a sight.
Accompanying firetrucks lit up the night with flashing lights, and sounded an occasional siren.
Santa did indeed come to town, stopping at Ascension School, Meadow Brook Farms, Cedarmill Bath and Tennis, Villages at Baxter Ridge pool, and finally Highcroft.
