Star Trek: Into Darkness Patch Blogger Mark Glass: **** It’s time again to boldly go...where tons of TV and movie cameras have gone before. Space. The final frontier. For context, this is the second feature film showing the original crew of the Enterprise in the beginning of their careers, in an alternate time line, allowing both overlaps and variations from the stories and characters that started the whole franchise. That allows Benedict Cumberbatch (best known as a contemporary Sherlock Holmes…

The 18-year-old singer-songwriter talked about her future in a recent interview at the studio of news channel KSDK.
For fans of Chesterfield’s Caroline Glaser, the question on their mind since she was eliminated from “The Voice” last week has been, “What’s next?” Glaser, one of 16 finalists to make it the live rounds of the NBC contest, answered that and other questions when she stopped into the studio of St. Louis TV station KSDK Monday. “The whole experience was so motivating for me. I’m just going to keep going and keep writing,” Glaser told Channel 5’s Heidi Glaus. “My fanbase has just grown so much.” The aspiring singer-songwriter hopes to have new music within a month of the show’s finale. She’ll keep watching, she said, because all the people she met while in California where “awesome and genuine.” It was quite a learning experience for the 18-…

The Great Gatsby Patch Blogger Mark Glass: **½ This latest screen version of the classic novel is a mixed bag of assets and flaws. Director and co-writer Baz Lurhrmann ambitiously tries for a 3-D spectacle with several lavish party scenes that Busby Berkeley would have envied. He inserts bits of anachronistically modern music into this 1922 setting. That worked beautifully in his Moulin Rouge, and hilariously in the opening joust of A Knight’s Tale, but feels overly…

The decision wasn't an easy one for her coach, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, who struggled to make up his mind as the show's credits rolled.
A visibly stressed Adam Levine struggled to make up his mind on "The Voice" Wednesday night as the credits rolled in the screen beneath him, but chose at the last minute to send Chesterfield indie singer Caroline Glaser home. Glaser had made it to the live, playoff rounds of NBC's "The Voice," but faced elimination after she and fellow Team Adam singer Sarah Simmons failed to receive enough votes from the show's national audience. As the two artists with the lowest vote totals among the his team's four finalists, the Maroon 5 frontman could only select one of them to go on to the next round. "I don’t think that one is better than the other. Whatever decision I make will not be one I support," Levine lamented. Join Chesterfield Patch for…
