Three Potential Restaurant Ideas for the Former Bacana Steakhouse

Chesterfield's Brazilian steakhouse restaurant Bacana closed its doors in May 2012 and the property has sat vacant since, so Patch put together a few suggestions for the budding restaurateurs out there about some potential eateries for the spot.

1) While I would love to see EdgeWild owners Andy and Dee Dee Kohn locate their recently announced BBQ venture, WildSmoke, there, it's unlikely given its close proximity to their first restaurant. However, that doesn't mean someone else can't take up the call and fire up a smoker of their own.

2) Chesterfield has plenty of spots for sushi and Mexican around town, but other kinds of ethnic cuisine are decidedly lacking. Since we are losing Brazil, why not bring in some more Vietnam or Thailand? A good place to get a hot bowl of Pho is just what the area needs.

3) Microbrewing is becoming big business in St. Louis and it's time Chesterfield got in on the action. And while the location is too small to house a brewery of its own, perhaps some St. Louis city beer makers (I'm looking at you, 4 Hands and Civil Life) could benefit from establishing a West County outpost.

The above ideas cater to my tastes, but what kind of restaurant would you like to see take over the space? Share your suggestions in the comments section below.
