Celebrate Mother's Day With "Listen To Your Mother!"

There’s a new St. Louis tradition on Mother’s Day weekend besides going to Laumeier Sculpture Park. It’s called Listen To Your Mother (LTYM), which is part of a national series of live readings that celebrate the beauty, the beast and the barely rested of motherhood. St. Louis is one of 32 cities across the country to host a performance, which is produced, directed, and performed by local communities, for local communities.

The second annual event gives moms a microphone and features some of the most talented local writers who share powerful, heartwarming stories on a wide range of topics, including adoption, infertility, single moms, and, of course, the funny side of imperfect parenting.

“We all have a story to tell, and LTYM gives moms a voice to share their experience with a live audience. LTYM is a true community event, and we are excited to put our diverse, talented St. Louisans in the spotlight and showcase how generous our community really is from all the local businesses which are sponsoring our event,” said Co-Producer/Director Ellie Grossman. “We promise a day of fun, including food, live music, inspirational readings, and even door prizes.”
