Shoppers may purchase lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days in the FVC Bistro.

Funds from the bazaar support the senior living community’s creative arts studio throughout the year and contributions to the village library, the chaplain’s fund and other special projects.

Beth Krusa, FVC creative arts coordinator, administers the bazaar in conjunction with a resident council of ten to 30 or more residents depending on the time of year and the proximity to the bazaar’s date.

This year residents will launch stalls selling recycled jewelry, specialty floral designs, knitted items, handmade cards, art and other crafts in addition to those of outside vendors featuring jewelry, chocolates, perfumes, handbags, nuts, local specialty foods and more.

Nestled in the heart of Chesterfield at 15201 Olive Boulevard since 1974, Friendship Village Chesterfield, a not for profit governed by a local board of directors and administratively managed by Iowa based Life Care Services, provides a vibrant alternative for senior living with independent units, assisted living and skilled nursing care.

The LifeCare program at Friendship Village aims to assure seniors unlimited days of assisted living and skilled nursing care on site—if needed—at a continuing predictable and known cost.  The financial model includes an entrance fee which varies with the type of residence selected plus a low monthly charge.  Multiple plans exist for tailoring to specific needs and requirements.
