Adult Choir Forms for First Time In Rockwood School District

Auditions will be August 20, 27 for an all new adult choir within the Rockwood School District area. St. Louis County residents are eligible for tryouts.

A first-ever adult choir is being gathered by Michele Rodgers, choir teacher at in . The choir is open to Rockwood residents, alumni or any adult from St. Louis County.

Auditions will be held on August 20 and 27, from 6-9 pm at Lafayette High School in Room 106.

Auditions should be scheduled by August 14; contact Kelly Regan via email to set a time.

After choir members are chosen, they will rehearse on Monday nights from Sept. 10 to Nov. 5 during 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in preparation for the upcoming concerts on Nov. 11. Rehearsals will be held in the same room as the auditions.

The choir will present ‘A Tribute to America’ performance this fall, which will highlight American music as well as patriotic favorites. Tickets for this performance will open Oct. 1.

Two performances will occur on Nov. 11 in the Lafayette Theater; one at 2 p.m. and the other at 6 p.m.
