City Delivers On Garden Plots In Dog Park

Community gardeners can get ready for spring planting.

Chesterfield's —affectionately —got the majority of its garden plot beds Thursday, as city workers delivered the plywood fixtures.

Residents reserve a garden plot for $30 per season, by contacting City Hall 636-537-4000 and the Parks and Recreation department.

Dog park membership is $30 for the year with proof of residency and dog medical records—apply online or in person at City Hall. Pit Bulls are banned.

The park is located along Baxter Road near Clarkson Road, just behind , with the entrance on Old Baxter Road off Highcroft Drive.

The 2-acre dog run within 18-acre Eberwein Park has proved enormously popular, with over 1,000 residents joining during the first three months after it opened September 1.

Supplying the garden beds was estimated to cost $16,000 for the city.
