Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year, so most trick-or-treating in 2012 will probably occur on a weekday.
Some events, such as Boo Bash and Halloween Fest were held in Chesterfield this weekend, but if you didn't have a chance to grab enough candy neighborhood trick-or-treating will happen on Wednesday. You can also head to Chesterfield Mall, which is hosting a trick-or-treat event starting at 5 p.m. Halloween night.
Chesterfield Police Office Mike Ryffel said there are no set hours for trick-or-treating, but it usually occurs from sunset to 9 p.m. He advised parents to check out the Center for Disease Control's Halloween safety guide and urged drivers in residential neighbors to be extremely cautios.
Most young children will begin trick-or-treating just before sunset while older kids will likely stay out a little longer in the evening. Sunset for Halloween is expected at 6:02 p.m., according to The Weather Channel. The channel's forecast is a high of 61 degrees and a low of 45 degrees, with no rain expected at this time.
