Weather Not Expected to Impact Chesterfield's Cityfest

Help celebrate its founding with a full day of events, including a concerts and fireworks at the Chesterfield Amphitheater.

The city of Chesterfield is beginning a year-long celebrations of its 25th anniversary with today's Cityfest, taking place at Central Park and the Chesterfield Amphitheater.

A full day of events is planned, including free admission to the Chesterfield Aquatic Center for residents, a street festival on Veterans Place Drive from 3-7 p.m., food trucks and concerts at the Amphitheater beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Chesterfield's director of planning and public works Michael Giesel told Patch Saturday morning that no activities have been cancelled or plans changed as a result of last night's severe storm. Current forecasts call for a slight chance of thunderstorms in the area this afternoon.
