Spirit of St. Louis Boulevard Bridge in Chesterfield Reopened

MoDOT had closed the bridge over I-64 for 30 days for repairs to raise it up.

Drivers in Chesterfield can move about a little more easily now after the Missouri Department of Transportation announced Wednesday night that the Spirit of St. Louis Boulevard bridge over I-64 has been reopened.

MoDOT closed the bridge for 30 days, beginning July 7, for repairs that raised the bridge and fixed low clearance issues. The ramp from Spirit to eastbound I-64 has also been reopened.

The Spirit of St. Louis bridge work is part of the overall $110.9 million new I-64 Daniel Boone Missouri River bridge being constructed by the Walsh-Alberici Joint Venture.  The entire I-64 Daniel Boone Bridge project will be complete by December 2015.
