Top Ten (Fun) Things to Do Labor Day Weekend

  • Where: Queeny Park; Friday, Sept. 2 - Sunday, Sept. 4; times vary.
    Why Go: See 130 juried artists from 20 states and have the opportunity to purchase original works of fine art and crafts directly from the artists!
    Pricing: $5.
  • Kidtoons Featuring "Sid the Science Kid"
    Where: ; Saturday, Sept. 3, at 10 a.m.
    Why Go: Only "G" rated films, great for the whole family!
    Pricing: $3 per person. Kids under 3 are free.
  • Where: Emerald Point; Saturday, Sept. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    Why Go: Check out some of the nicest cars in the area and benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association at the same time!
    Pricing: Varies.  
  • Where: The Loop; Saturday, Sept. 3, at 9 a.m.
    Why Go: Take part in the Loop’s first chalk festival and fulfill that secret dream of being an artist. You may just win an award for your work, too!
    Pricing: $10 for adults; $8 for students (ages 13-18); $2 for children under 12. 
  • Where/When: Missouri Botanical Garden; Saturday, Sept. 3 - Monday, Sept. 5; times vary.
    Why Go: Celebrate the culture, history, and people of Japan with the Japanese Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Enjoy music, martial arts, sumo and sushi, bon odori dancing to bonsai displays and taiko drumming to Tea House Island tours. 
    Pricing: $5-$15.
  • Where: Busch Stadium; Monday, Sept. 5 at 3:15 p.m.
    Why Go: Take part of your Labor Day weekend and spend it watching the Cardinals vs. Milwaukee.
    Pricing: $5 and up. 
  • Where: Downtown; Monday, Sept. 5 at 8:30 a.m.
    Why Go: Join thousands of local union members as they march through downtown St. Louis.
    Pricing: Free.
  • Where: Forest Park; Saturday, Sept. 3 - Monday, Sept. 5; times vary. 
    Why Go:  Take the family for a combination of sporting competitions, amusement rides, game booths, concerts and a variety of arts and crafts will thrill kids of all ages when the Veterans Festival debuts in Forest Park. 
    Pricing: Free. 
  • Where: Laclede's Landing; Saturday, Sept. 3 - Monday, Sept. 5, from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.
    Why Go: Check out this St. Louis long-running Blues-focused music event which annually brings in around 80,000 people and features 30-plus nationally-known and locally popular Blues, Soul and R&B bands and artists. 
    Pricing: $10. 
  • Where: Wildwood Town Center; Saturday, Sept. 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    Why Go: Join friends with a day filled with a parade, vintage car show, a farmers' market, live music, activities and lots of fun!
