The Fashion Collective-St. Louis is presenting THE Fashion Competition and Fashion Business Weekend, produced by DIYStyle. This national fashion competition is open to Junior and Senior fashion design students at US colleges and universities with Fashion Design as a curriculum. Student designers will enter their completed ensembles, competing for product prizes as well as the title of “THE Fashion Competition Emerging Fashion Designer of the Year 2011.” The event will be hosted by Lumiere Place and Hotel Lumiere on historic Laclede’s Landing, Downtown St. Louis.
Special guest emcee for THE Fashion Competition Finals Show is Michael Drummond, St. Louis Fashion Designer, his line is Exquisite Corpse. Michael recently was a designer on Project Runway Season 8, and is a past winner of Project Design-St. Louis. THE Fashion Competition Finals show is Friday, April 8th at 7:00pm at the Lumiere Theater. Tickets are available for limited seating at www.thefashioncompetition.com.
The mission of the Fashion Collective-St. Louis is to encourage, support and educate independent fashion designers. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Fashion Collective- St. Louis and the (coming soon) St. Louis Fashion Incubator.
