Chesterfield's Caroline Glaser Eliminated From "The Voice"

The decision wasn't an easy one for her coach, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, who struggled to make up his mind as the show's credits rolled.

A visibly stressed Adam Levine struggled to make up his mind on "The Voice" Wednesday night as the credits rolled in the screen beneath him, but chose at the last minute to send Chesterfield indie singer Caroline Glaser home.

Glaser had made it to the live, playoff rounds of NBC's "The Voice," but faced elimination after she and fellow Team Adam singer Sarah Simmons failed to receive enough votes from the show's national audience.

As the two artists with the lowest vote totals among the his team's four finalists, the Maroon 5 frontman could only select one of them to go on to the next round.

Despite her exit from the show, Glaser's run marks a remarkable showing for singer who just a short while ago had been playing to open mics instead of televised audiences.

She also earned consistent praise from the show's coaches, who highlighted what they called her "unique sound."

The last-second decisions by Levine was not the only drama present on the night's eposide, which began with Host Carson Daly began bringing on stage an executive from the company that handles its vote tabulation.

For the sake transparency, Daly said NBC wanted to let the audience know that there had been some "inconsistencies" with the text and online voting.

As a result, those votes were essentially tossed out. However, Daly assured the audience that doing so did not alter the outcome.
