17-year-old Charged with DWI After Crashing into ER Doors

Yahontas Moore rammed her car into the ER entrance at St. Luke's Hospital when she tried to park. Luckily, no injuries were reported.

Chesterfield Police have filed charges against a woman who crashed her vehicle into the emergency doors at St. Luke's Hospital Friday morning. 

Yahontas Moore, 17, of St. Louis, has been charged with driving while intoxicated. The Monarch Fire Protection District reported that Moore had come to St. Luke's because one of the occupants in the vehicle needed medical attention.

According to FOX 2 news, a driver is being tested for intoxication after crashing through the emergency room doors of St. Luke's Hospital Friday morning.

FOX 2 reports that Chesterfield police say a patient was dropped off at the ER early Friday and when the driver of the car tried to park, the person drove the car through the ER entrance.

The driver then pulled forward, hit another car, and then backed up and hit the ER doors again, FOX 2 reports.

According to the Monarch Fire Protection District, the call came in around 3 a.m. Friday. When Monarch crews arrived on the scene, they found the damaged ER entrance and the other damaged car.

Monarch officials said the three people in the car that hit the building were with Chesterfield Police in the ER and there were no reported injuries due to the incident.
