Florida Man Killed in Fatal Chesterfield Accident

David Hoffman, 34, was thrown from his truck after it flipped over in front of a semi on a wet I-64 Saturday night.

A Florida man was killed in Chesterfield Saturday night after his vehicle overturned in front of a tractor-trailer on I-64.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reported that David Hoffman, 34, of Stuart, Fla., was driving a Chevy S-10 east on the highway when he lost control of his vehicle and spun out on the wet roadway in front of the semi.Β

The spin caused the truck to overturn and Hoffman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The agency’s report stated that Hoffman had been driving too fast for the rainy conditions.
