Chesterfield Restaurant & Winery EdgeWild Opening Second Location

New owners are Andy and Dee Dee Kohn, teamed with veteran restaurateur Chris LaRocca.

EdgeWild Restaurant & Winery is opening a second location at the former Busch’s Grove in Ladue. Owners Andy and Dee Dee Kohn are teaming up again with veteran restaurateur and EdgeWild proprietor Chris LaRocca to open the new establishment in early summer 2013.

The original location is near Chesterfield Mall at 550 Chesterfield Center and opened in November, 2011.

LaRocca and EdgeWild’s Executive Chef Aaron Baggett are developing the menu for the new location. Executive Chef Baggett will oversee the kitchens and culinary teams at both locations.

According to a press release from the comapny, the new location will continue EdgeWild's focus on inventive American cuisine and wine while having a greater emphasis on the bar and an increased selection of appetizers.

“It will be the new neighborhood watering hole,” said owner Andy Kohn. “The heart of the restaurant will be an oversized bar where patrons can enjoy everything from local craft beers, cocktails and affordable fine wines to tasty appetizers, chopped salads, sandwiches and burgers.”

The Ladue location will offer more than 20 local microbrews on tap, a full list of specialty cocktails and an extensive selection of wines by the glass, including EdgeWild label wines and non-EdgeWild label wines.

The chef-inspired menu will focus on smaller plates, including a wide array of appetizers and specialty dishes. The menu will also have a selection of hearty, full-bodied entrees similar to those on EdgeWild’s current menu.

The new location’s menu and offerings will also continue to reflect EdgeWild’s partnership, support and use of use of local purveyors, including Salume Beddu, Companion, Serendipity Homemade Ice Cream, Bissinger’s, The Caramel House, Cravings Gourmet Desserts, Andrea’s Gluten-Free Bakery and Purus Vodka. The craft beers on tap will come from local breweries, including 4 Hands Brewing Co., Anheuser-Busch, Civil Life Brewing Co., Ferguson Brewing Company, O’Fallon Brewery, Perennial Hommel Bier, Six Row Brewing Company and Urban Chestnut Brewing Company.
