Chesterfield Valley Valvoline Aiming for April Opening

The wooden frame of the oil change shop is up with the roof trusses to follow later this week.

The Valvoline Oil Change Shop near the intersection of Chesterfield Airport Road and Public Works Drive is beginning to take shape with the wooden frame of the building now erected.

On Tuesday, construction workers were busy taking advantage of the 60-degree weather before a storm rolled in and brought with it cooler temps. A representative with Thill Contracting said they planned to put on the roof trusses later this week.

He estimated that the business would open by the first week of April.

The same lot that holds the Valvoline is always scheduled to hold Chesterfield’s first Wendy’s, although construction has not yet started on that project. According to Chesterfield Chief Engineer Aimee Nassif, the project was approved last summer and then delayed after some minor changes were made to the site plan.

Check back with Patch later this week when we will have an update on the status of the Wendy’s construction.
