The Chesterfield location of the national sandwich chain will be located between Balaban’s and Noodles & Co. in the Dierbergs Marketplace shopping center at the corner of Clarkson and Baxter roads.

The restaurant specializes in letting customers order highly customizable versions of the lunchtime favorite through an ordering system that involves marking up a pre-printed menu on a sandwich bag. The sandwich is then prepared according to your specifications and delivered to you in the same bag.

The Chesterfield store is coming as the company is experiencing a year of rapid growth. A report publish Friday by QSR Magazine said there are 224 Which Wich stores in the U.S. with more than 100 openings scheduled for 2013.

The chain’s first store opened in Dallas in 2003 and was founded by Jeff Sinelli, who also started another brand known to St. Louis area diners, Genghis Grill.
