EdgeWild Eying Possible BBQ Venture

Chesterfield restaurant and winery EdgeWild is once again considering expansion plans and this time the focus is on BBQ. 

Owners Andy and Dee Dee Kohn have decided on A name with a familiar ring, WildSmoke, and said they have secured a location but aren't yet ready to announce it, according to an article on STLMag.com. The emphasis on smoked meat in part due to the success the restaurant has had with some experimental offerings on Sunday afternoons. 

Earlier this year, EdgeWild announced the opening of a second location in Ladue, but that deal ultimately fell through. And although additional restaurant locations are still a possibility, the magazine said the Kohns wanted to take advantage of the increasing appetite for local BBQ.
