Ghostbusters Coming to the St. Louis Area This Weekend

A convention for Ghostbusters fans is planned for this weekend in St. Louis. Who you gonna call?

Fans of the popular Ghostbusters franchise are converging in St. Louis for a convention this weekend. 

The convention, called Ecto Con by organizers, is scheduled for Friday through Sunday at the Holiday Inn in Sunset Hills. Organizers expect 75 to 100 attendees, according to the event website. 

Panel topics include prop-building, '80s pop culture and "aspects of the Ghostbusters fandom," notes the website. In addition to panels, the convention will include karaoke, games and a costume contest.

The full Ecto Con schedule is available online. Tickets cost $50 for the weekend or $20 for Friday only and $25 for Saturday only.

The Ghostbusters franchise has gained attention lately after rumors began spreading about the potential production of Ghostbusters 3. Dan Aykroyd is rumored to be on board with the film. 

Ecto Con is being organized by Kawa Kon, a group of fans that organizes convention programming in St. Louis.
