Neighborhood Schnuck's Walls Up, Traffic Changed

Wow, that was fast!

The walls are up at the new Schnucks market at Kehrs Mill and Clarkson roads. Traffic signals and extra turn lanes are also functioning at the revamped intersection there.

Most of the winter, work progressed on grading the site and laying what appeared to be foundations.

Some neighbors opposed the market, but Schnucks said it is a smaller, boutique-style store, tailored to the needs of the area. Others have said it's a handy location.

Still others have said even if they live right next door, they would boycott the market since they didn't want it there. The lot used to be a residence, before rezoning.
