If you've ever wished you were near an Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, today's your chance.
One of the company's six 27-foot-long wieners on wheels will be making a stop this afternoon at Walmart in the Chesterfield Valley from noon till 5 p.m. today.
The visit culminates a series of stops around the St. Louis area that started on Tuesday in O'Fallon and hopped to Dardenne Prairie, Florissant and St. John.
The last time the Wienermobile came to the area was about 13 months ago, when one of its stops was in Fenton. See some related photos on this article.
Wiener "pilot" Holly Nelson—she calls herself "Hot Diggity Holly"—will be on hand with her partner "Jess Grillin'." Here's what she has to say about the visit:
- At these events we will be playing games with families, handing out coupons, and of giving out the iconic Wiener Whistles.
- The 12 wiener pilots who drive the six wieners around the country were selected from over 1,200 applicants for the one-year opportunity
- Every year, Oscar Mayer recruits at campuses across the U.S. looking for soon-to-be college graduates who have a thirst for adventure and can truly "cut the mustard."
