Outlet Duel Continues: Taubman Runs $1,000 Photo Contest

A few days after rival St. Louis Premium Outlets opens, the deadline nears for Taubman Prestige's contest. Winners in three categories could be part of its ad campaign and the top winner gets a shopping spree.

Just a few days after a rival outlet mall opened just west off Highway 40, the Taubman Prestige Outlets — which opened Aug. 2 — is closing in on the deadline for a photo contest that promises to include category winners in an ad campaign and a $1,000 shopping spree for the top winner.

The two outlet malls — St. Louis Premium Outlets opened on Thursday last week — have been rivals for the public's attention since it was announced more than a year ago that both would be built in the Chesterfield Valley.

Taubman's contest, dubbed "Capture your Creative Outlet," is built to recognize winners in three categories: St. Louis Scene; Fashion Style; and Canine Cutie (the Taubman outlet is noteworthy for welcoming dogs on site).

The contest is open to anyone 18 and over. Photos may be entered via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. The deadline is Friday. More info here.

Readers of the mall's Facebook page will get to vote for their favorite pictures among three finalists in each category from Sept. 9-22.
