Restaurant Review Round-Up: Edgewild

See what local residents are saying about Chesterfield restaurants.

Sometimes it's nice to splurge a little bit on a more high-end restaurant experience, so this week the Restaurant Review Round-Up is wining and dining at Edgewild Winery and Restaurannt

The restaurant specializes in what it calls "inventive American" cuisine and offers wine from its own Edgewild label as well as other selections. Online reviewers seemed more interested in the food over the vino, with the pistachio-encrusted goat cheese a particular hit.

Edgewild is located in Chesterfield Valley at 550 Chesterfield Center. Call (636) 532-0550 for more information or visit them online

From Yelp (4.0 avg/38 reviews):

Aimee K. gave it 5/5 stars and said: "My second visit to EdgeWild was pretty fantastic and I know for sure I'll be going back. I tasted a bunch of the appetizers, had a great wine tasting, and my waitress was so on point... huge improvement from my last visit. The atmosphere here is so fun & I'm thrilled this place is in Chesterfield."

S. Anjali D. gave it 3/5 stars and said: "I have pretty much enjoyed everything I have tried here, although, the food is not always consistent, so while I used to see this place as a 5 star, after going back a few more times, I wouldn't rush back again."

Mark E. gave it 3/5 stars and said: "EdgeWild is perplexing for a variety of reasons. Nice atmosphere, waiter was good, drinks were good, and food was good......or was it? That's were I'm perplexed with EdgeWild. I decided to try the 'Beef Tenderloin Trio' which was good..but not great! The tenderloin's were cooked correctly however they seem unimaginative. My guests had the 'Scallop and Shrimp Linguine' and the 'Chicken Pallard.'When I asked everyone how their meal was everyone responded that it was good, but nothing to brag about. Overall, the menu is limited and doesn't cater very well to the lighter side."

Ellen liked it and said: "Every entree was exceptional. The wine was excellent. I have had many many varieties of wine. I can say nothing bad about it. Good service, nice atmosphere. it is a tad bit pricey but I don't mind that because the food was good."

Jill Starr liked it and said: "Great food and fun atmosphere! Feels like a Colorado lodge, nice friendly waiters and wonderful wine. There is something for everyone!"
