Restaurant Review Round-Up: Fiesta Modern Mexican

This week the Restaurant Review Round-Up is stopping in at one of Chesterfield's newer establishments, Fiesta Modern Mexican, which opened in May of this year. 

The restaurant aims to create a modern take on the traditional Mexican staples, from the way the food is prepared to the interior decor. Specalities include fajitas, 10-inch quesadillas and empananas. 

The good: Fiesta offers an alternative to the seemingly interchangable string of Mexican restaurants that dot the area with a slightly more uspcale menu and setting. 

The bad: Spotty service at times. One reviewer complained of being charged more than the stated prices on the menu.

Mark H. gave it 3/5 stars and said: "The food was good.  The service was somewhat lacking and the staff seemed to be more into the television and their own stuff rather than their customer's needs.  A bit tacky to refill the salsa by pouring it out of a plastic bottle at the table. This place does have potential, as the food is good, but they need to learn to focus on their customers and sharpen up their image."

Robert N. gave it 4/5 stars and said: "Whereas most Mexican restaurants are only differentiated by their name, Fiesea provides fresh Mexican cuisine...it is certainly superior to other options in West Co for Mexican food...try almost anything on the middle page of the menu and you can't go wrong."

Doug M. gave it 3/5 stars and said: "I vacillated between three and four stars.  I enjoyed the experience, and the food seemed fresh and well-prepared.  However, I want a little more flavor in my burritos and enchiladas.  But I will give them credit for the good job on the fajitas. Give them a try.  If you think they should ramp up the spice, too, then let them know.  Maybe we'll get it they way we like better."
