Restaurant Review Round-Up: Miller's Crossing

See what people are saying about restaurants and bars in the Chesterfield area.

This week's review round-up is grabbing a booth at Miller's Crossing, located on Olive Boulevard across from the Chesterfield Veterinary Center.

Before we get to the reviews, here's a description of the establishment, direct from our directory

"This restaurant offers upscale American bar food like homemade pizza, burgers and sandwiches. The outdoor dining area is directly in front of the restaurant, next to the entrance. On occasion, the barbecue grill is fired up for a selection of pork dishes. There's a full bar and a wine list."

From Patch

Brenda Lessel: "Don't rate this restaurant as "bar food". The chef's are quite good. They are willing to try and create anything suggested. They are also re-inventing the menu. Ask for the salmon with angel hair pasta--very good. If you like garlic, ask for more to be added to dish. When they BBQ, you can't go wrong with their ribs and pork."

From Yelp

Jimmy Z.: "Calimari was overcooked, salad was puny, brisket dry as leather, burger undercooked, nearly had to yell at the waitress to get her attention. First and last time there."

Bryan M.: "Even with a generous portion of sauce surrounding each piece of meat, the smokey flavor came through. ... And, instead of the shredded treatment that is so popular for other pulled pork offerings, Miller's goes for a chunky style.  It gave me a great opportunity to enjoy the flavor in the meat."

Colleen D. "Have zero expectations and you'll be pleasantly surprised. ... The staff was nice and attentive, even with other tables of elderly patrons keeping them very busy.  The food was good, predictable, fast.  We both ordered burgers that were tasty but average."

From Urban Spoon

Corinn45: "Tried the gyro here - it was ok. Would have been much better if gyro meat was sliced thinner. Came in big chunks, which just wasn't as appetizing. Flavor seemed good. I would also take out the cut-up cucumbers too. Staff were very friendly. Good pizza and wraps."

brie: "The food is good- all meats are smoked. i had a tasty wrap and my husband had a french onion burger (or something like that) which was an open-faced burger with french onion soup poured over it. casual, tasty, prices were ok. beer was good. we'll go back."
