Oceano Bistro Founder Sells Stake in Seafood Restaurant

The new owners of the restaurant already had a partial stake in the Chesterfield location.

Fans of fish dishes take note, there has been a seachange in the ownership at Chesterfield restaurant Oceano Bistro.

Founder and owner Paul Pierron has sold his stake in the restaurant, which has locations in Clayton and Chesterfield, according to an article in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The new skippers are an ownership group named BSH, helmed by Benjamin M. Bishop Jr., the president and CEO of St. Louis-based Western Construction Group. BSH already had a partial stake in the Chesterfield location, which opened in 2012.

The name might sound familiar to hockey fans. Bishop’s son, Ben Bishop III, plays goaltender for the Ottawa Senators and was once drafted by the Blues.

Pierron, who is the chief operating officer of Atlanta-based telecommunications firm FiberLight, told the paper that he got into the restaurant industry because he loves to cook, but acknowledged it’s a “tough, tough” business.
