Vacancy Vision: Route 1 Tim Hortons

What would you like to see move into this empty spot?

When Tim Hortons pulled out of Connecticut in 2010, the chain left empty storefronts in their wake.

In Pawcatuck, one of those empty coffee spots became the site for the celebrated return of the beloved Bess Eaton. But one of Tim Hortons other Pawcatuck storefronts tells a different tale.

The location of the former Tim Hortons at 148 South Broad Street in Pawcatuck has sat empty for more than two years.

What would you like to see move in the location? Do you have an idea for what would be the perfect business or enterprise to occupy the old Tim Hortons building?

A co-working space where people who are self-employed or work at home can pay a small amount to have an office-like atmosphere to work in. There are a lot more work-at-home jobs now, plus there are a lot of people who have summer or weekend places here that would like a place to work that has good coffee, fast wi-fi and a quiet, business-like atmosphere (read: no screaming kids).
