Growing Awareness: St. Louis-based Klings & Things Photography Selected to Gift High-Profile Celebrities for Earth Day

Eco-friendly photo cards celebrate broad spectrum of growth

St. Louis, MO — Klings & Things Photography, a St. Louis-based fine art photography store,
in association with The Artisan Group, has been selected to gift 25 high-profile celebrities with a thematically-appropriate collection to arrive at their doorsteps on Earth Day, April 22, 2014. Christina Kling-Garrett, the store’s founder and artist, created a series of six blank notecards that feature three of her butterfly photographs, printed on all-natural bamboo paper. This is the second annual Earth Day gifting and the first time Klings & Things has been selected to participate.

“Nature is a central or peripheral feature in almost all of my pieces,” said Kling-Garrett. “So, capturing the beauty of butterflies in their most majestic season, displaying these images on a natural paper, and having the opportunity to introduce my work to celebrities who are passionate about protecting the environment in which I find my inspiration feels harmonious.”

Celebrities to be gifted include, but are not limited to, Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Woody Harrelson, and Barbra Streisand. Kling-Garrett is also offering the butterfly card set online at  https://www.etsy.com/listing/186284809/spring-fine-art-stationery-butterfly and clients can use the code EARTHDAY for 15% off all of her pieces site-wide through May 15. In addition, on Earth Day, Klings & Things will give away one complete set of butterfly cards and one 8 x 10 butterfly image.

The Artisan Group makes it possible for Hollywood celebrities to be introduced to some of the country’s best artists. Through this organization, Kling-Garrett has had the opportunity to gift an original piece to Mariska Hargitay of Law and Order SVU and participated in a gift lounge in honor of the 2013 Golden Globe Awards Nominees and Presenters.

“I’ve always loved butterflies because they represent spring, transformation, growth, and new beginnings,” said Kling-Garrett. “It seemed appropriate to choose butterflies as my subjects because, in addition to growing awareness about Klings & Things, this opportunity marks the growth of my now-two-year-old business.”

Klings & Things Photography was founded in February 2012 and features fine art prints and print products created by Kling-Garrett. Her images capture unique perspectives on everything from nature scenes to monuments to moments.
