CHESTERFIELD ARTS ADDS NEW DEVELOPMENT, MARKETING DIRECTORS AND EXHIBITION COORDINATOR

Chesterfield Arts, the community resource for everything art-related in west St. Louis County, announces the appointment of Bruce Preston of Ballwin as director of development, Kim Furlow of Ballwin as director of marketing and Jenny Donaldson of Chesterfield as exhibition coordinator.

“Chesterfield Arts is a St. Louis leader in promoting and presenting the finest in sculpture and visual art exhibitions, literary art competitions, arts education and performing arts programs,” said Executive Director, Stacey Morse. “Hiring these talented individuals to help grow our organization was the logical next step.”

Most recently, Bruce Preston was chief advancement officer at The Principia in St. Louis for nearly four years and director of advancement for the Animal Rescue League of Boston for two years. At Chesterfield Arts, Preston’s responsibilities include fundraising and donor stewardship. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and currently resides in Ballwin with his two daughters.

Kim Furlow spent 11 years as public relations and marketing director for two separate St. Louis firms. In 2009, she founded the professional theatre Dramatic License Productions in Chesterfield, where she was also executive producer. At Chesterfield Arts, Furlow’s responsibilities include creating successful marketing campaigns for visual, public and performing arts programs and arts education and development activities. She holds a B.A. in communication arts and a minor in theatre performance from Fontbonne University in Clayton and resides in Ballwin with her daughter.

A working artist specializing in pottery, Jenny Donaldson is a visual arts instructor at Chesterfield Arts and for 12 years, was an art teacher at various schools in the Fort Zumwalt, Festus and Wentzville School Districts. As exhibition coordinator at Chesterfield Arts, Jenny plans and executes exhibits in The Gallery at Chesterfield Arts and at the St. Louis County Library, Sachs Branch in Chesterfield. She holds a BA in art education from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky and resides in Chesterfield with her husband and two children.

Chesterfield Arts is a non-profit organization, which provides quality and diverse programming in the visual, performing and literary arts, promotes public art and hosts arts education classes, and acts as a resource for arts information in the west St. Louis County region.
