Check out 'Herbie the Love Bug' for Valentine's Day at the Kemp Auto Museum

The museum is holding a special holiday event for car-loving couples.

Looking for a Valentine’s Day date that doesn’t involve dinner reservations that you forgot to make at an expensive restaurant? The Kemp Auto Museum is holding a holiday event for car-loving couples featuring tours of its “Herbie the Love Bug” exhibit.

Couples who visit the museum on Valentine’s Day and pay general admission will have an opportunity to get complimentary photos inside Herbie, the Love Bug from 10-3pm. In addition, there will be guided tours for couples and families. A major facet of interpretation will be Herbie and his main love interest from the franchise, the 1976 Lancia Scorpion. Featured also are tours of automotive couplings such as Bertha Benz and Karl Benz—inventor of the museum’s Benz Patent-Motorwagen (1886) and Max Hoffman and Mercedes Benz – pioneers of the museum’s 300 SL Gullwing (1954).
