Halloween Weekend Bash Is On At Chesterfield Mall Art Space

Art and candy merge for Halloween weekend fun at Artropolis in the Chesterfield Mall, for families.

There is eye candy for all and REAL candy for the kids, according to the Artropolis website.

The hosts are artists from a collection of the Mall's handmade arts shops in the Sears wing of the mall.

Artists promise to provide a variety of creative events for families, beginning Friday (since Halloween is a Monday this year):

• face painting,
• live painting,
• mask making,
• treat bag decorating
• Trick or Treating
• art exhibit opening/reception

Fri., Oct. 28
6-9pm Wood Icing Studio Gallery: A Taste of Sophistication; Art, Wine and Chocolate Reception

6-9pm Mind Works: A Display of Excellence exhibit opening

Sat., Oct. 29
10am-9pm St. Louis Teachers Recycle Center: Art Spooktacular project in our Studio. Also, collecting donations of art supplies for school teachers.

Noon-9pm Fusion: Decorate a foam mask (free) to wear Halloween, both kids and adults.

1-6pm Face Painting with Dana Diaz de Leon. Also, schedule a $5 appointment to get your face painted for your Halloween costume. Choose a look and Dana will do it. Walk-ins fine, RSVP and jump to the front of the line, 314-952-5307 and dana1@swbell.net

2-6pm Embellish Trick or Treat bags: Decorate with felt, paint, stencils, ribbon and lots of other supplies. All ages welcome. If under 6, parent supervises.

2-5pm Make 'n' Take Halloween eraser carvings with K.P. at Wood Icing Studio
