Chesterfieldians Honored for Beautiful Gardens, Yards

Chesterfield has awarded more residents for their hard work in their yards and gardens. 

Four households have won Beautification Awards in June and July:

• Ward 1: Mary and Mike Fedak of 639 Stablestone Dr.
• Ward 2: Priscilla Dawn Baker of 3 Pittsfield Ct.
• Ward 3: Ursula and John Kittner of 1915 Sumter Ridge Ct.
• Ward 4: The White family of 16305 Wilson Farm Dr. 

The awards are presented by the  to recognize "the hard work and commitment that these Chesterfield residents give to beautifying their yard and neighborhood," according to a city news release. 

Beautification awards will be presented again in August in wards 1 and 4. .

The city is currently seeking nominations for Beautification Awards. Nominated homes should feature outstanding design and maintenance and be a show of seasonal color and texture. To nominate a Chesterfield resident, fill out the nomination form online or at . 

The awards will be back in the summer of 2013. Next summer, the beautification committee will host its fourth biennial garden tour. Committee members select private gardens in the area and arrange public community tours.
