Clarkson Road Repairs Now Set for April 3

The pavement repair work on Clarkson Road between Clayton Road and Lea Oak Drive had been pushed back to April 8. Drivers should expect lane closures.

The start date for those repairs on portions of Clarkson Road have been changed again, here's the official word from the Missouri Department of Transportation:Β

The Missouri Department of Transportation will move forward with pavement repair work on Clarkson Road starting tomorrow, which was originally rescheduled for April 8 due to weather.

The pavement repair work will begin Wednesday, April 3, weather permitting, at various locations on Clarkson between Clayton Road and Lea Oak Drive. Crews will focus on this section with a one-lane closure on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists can expect delays, so allow plenty of time for your commute.

"We have been closely monitoring the weather forecast this week expecting rain and winter-like temperatures, but now it looks good for us to mobilize our maintenance operations to do the pavement work," said Michelle Voegele, MoDOT Area Engineer for Southwest Counties. "Moving forward with this work will allow us to have better results with our repairs since the pavement has dried out with warmer temperatures."

MoDOT's maintenance crews have been frequently sweeping this section of Clarkson Road and patching potholes. As we reach warmer temperatures, MoDOT has a resurfacing project funded for Clarkson Road from Clayton Road to Lea Oak that will begin in late April to permanently repair this important route.
