Free Faust Park Concert Tuesday Cancelled in Chesterfield

Chamber of Commerce says it's too hot for concert.

A free concert Tuesday night in Faust Park was cancelled for the third week in a row by Chesterfield's Chamber of Commerce Tuesday afternoon.

The group Fanfare was scheduled to perform.

On Monday, the Chamber said triple-digit temperatures (the heat) was the problem—for performers, volunteers and concert-goers.

The next concert scheduled is August 7, with performers Triolgy. Concessions open at 5:15 p.m. on the day of the concert.

There are a series of Summer concerts on Tuesdays in Chesterfield, 7-9pm. Two previoius concerts were cancelled due to heat—Mirage and Non-stop. Officials said contracts with the paid performers have a provision for such cancellations.
