Traffic Shift Planned for Olive Boulevard Thursday

As part of continued work on Woods Mill Road, traffic will be shifted slightly north on Olive Boulevard on the eastern edge of town.

Be prepared for a traffic shift on Olive Boulevard this week.

All lanes of traffic on Olive Boulevard between Creve Coeur Crossing Lane and Woodchase Plaza will shift after the morning rush hour on Thursday, weather permitting.

Lanes of traffic will shift slightly north onto a four-lane bypass, according to a Missouri Department of Transportation news release. The speed limit on the bypass will be 35 mph. Drivers will use the bypass until September.

Traffic is being shifted so that crews can build the Olive Boulevard and Woods Mill Road interchange and bridge. The work is part of a $44.5 million project to relocate Woods Mill Road slightly east, which will reduce the possibility of flooding and ease traffic congestion. Β
