Trooper to be Inducted Into "Doggie Hall of Fame" in Chesterfield

A photo of the dog, who was rehabilitated by the Missouri Humane Society after surviving behind dragged behind a truck for a mile, will be on display at Taubman Prestige Outlets when it opens later this summer.

Trooper, the dog who survived being dragged behind a truck for a mile and was rescued by the Missouri Humane Society, will soon have a permanent home in Chesterfield.

However, it’s not because he is being adopted by a family in the area, instead the tough pup’s photo will hang in the Doggie Hall of Fame in the main entry walkway of the future Taubman Prestige Outlets.

Taubman participated in the Humane Society’s annual Bark in the Park event last weekend, where the company hosted a booth to take portrait shots of dog owners and their pets. The photo session cost $75, with part of the proceeds donated to the Humane Society.

The portraits will be used to produce two tile versions, one for the owners to keep and the owner to hang in the Doggie Hall of Fame, which will also include famous dogs from the area such as Trooper and famous St. Louisans with their loyal companions.

The exhibit honoring the area’s animal lovers will be unveiled as part of Taubman Prestige Outlets’ opening celebration Aug. 2.
