Viewfinder: Marquette Students Perform 'Hairspray,' Kids Explore the World of Butterflies

High schoolers perform a musical set in Baltimore in the 1960s, and children learn more about Morpho butterflies.

Each week, we'll be running snapshots of life in Chesterfield. We'll be at band concerts, story times, plays and other activities around town.Β 

This week, we're featuring photos of production of Hairspray. The show follows Tracy Turnblad, a Baltimore teenager in the 1960s who wants to be a dancer on the sock-hop style TV program The Corny Collins Show. . Tickets are $10 at the door.

We also checked out at . About 3,000 brillant blue Morpho butterflies were released into The Butterfly House this month. . Kids ages 2 to 12 can learn more about butterfly farming and make craft caterpillars from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The activities are included in the price of admission to The Butterfly House.
