Winter Storm Cancels More than 160 Flights out of Lambert

The cancellations include all American Airlines flights in or out of the city after 3 p.m.

The mix of snow, sleet and ice hitting the St. Louis area has forced dozens of cancellations at Lambert International Airport, including all American Airlines flights in or out of the city after 3 p.m.

More than 40 arrivals and 40 departures had been cancelled by 8:30 a.m., according to the airport’s blog, and a check of online flight information at 11:10 a.m. showed that number had risen to more than 160 total cancelled flights.

Cancellations decisions are made by the individual airlines. You can see the status of your flight by visiting Lambert’s website

I hope they got hotel rooms and vouchers. It would be really wrong if out of town families had to sleep in the airport.
