Wires Downed In Chesterfield Valley; Winds Gust Up to 45MPH

Police blocked off an area near Long Road about 1 p.m. for repair.

A power cable was downed Tuesday about 1 p.m. in Chesterfield Valley near Long Road, with wind gusts up to 45 mph.

Utility workers toiled to secure the connection and get the cable off the ground while police blocked a portion of the roadway near Walgreens along Chesterfield Airport Road.

The cable and power were restored by 1:45 p.m. Tuesdsay, Chesterfield police said.
