A great way to get grounded in the fundamentals and increase understanding of alignment and movement for those interested in learning about yoga.
This workshop will cover safe body mechanics in a yoga class setting. We'll look at the basics of alignment that are consistent for each asana (posture) practiced in class. Focus will be on correct joint stability and muscle engagement as well as proper breathing in various types of postures (e.g. forward folds, backbends, balancing postures, twists). Some anatomy will be discussed to give the student greater insight into these poses.
