Olympic Caliber Table Tennis Comes to Chesterfield Mall

Top-ranked Table Tennis players, all members of the
St. Louis Table Tennis Club, will give

Free demonstrations and tips on Saturday, July 20 from
1 to 3pm at Chesterfield Mall,conveniently located at Clarkson Road and Highway 64/40
in Chesterfield.

The public is invited to
watch as these competitive athletes, ranging in age from 13 to 70 and in between, showcase
their athleticism and high level skills. 
Local champs scheduled to be at the event
include:

 Justen Yao,
age 20 

Nominated by United States Table Tennis
Association and approved by US Olympic Committee as Male Athlete of the Year
(2007); Four times captain of the US Junior and Cadet team (2005-2008); Current
member of TG Obertshausen Team in German Table Tennis League; Ranked in the top
100 Men two years consecutively  (2010
and 2009)

Judy
Meador, age 70

Medaled (gold and silver) in the
Missouri and St. Louis Senior Olympics in singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles
every year since 2007; headed to Cleveland, Ohio for the 2013 National Senior
Olympics to compete in singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles the end of
July. She has also received a 2nd place in the 2013 Saint Peters
March Open U-1250 and 2nd place in the 2012 Lindenwood September
Open Giant Round Robin Class F.

Shin Yao, age 17

Three times U.S.
National Cadet trail Champion (2008-2010); U.S. National Junior Trails 3rd
place; World Junior Championship - Member of US Junior team (2010); North
American Team Tournament – 2nd division and age under 18 category  Champion (2009); World Cadet Challenge Cup -
13th of individual event (2009); Member of Pan Am Team, #1 seed of Pan Am Team
and  winner of Pan Am Trails, Canada
