Pianist Dominic Cheli in Concert

Rising piano virtuoso Dominic A. Cheli brings his passion for music to Missouri Baptist University in a spectacular concert.  His talent will delight and inspire you.  This is a FREE evening you do not want to miss.

Biography

Dominic Cheli, 20-year old pianist from St. Louis, Missouri, continues to embrace and delight his audiences through his deep understanding of the music he performs, as well as his technical virtuosity. Earlier this month, he graduated from the Manhattan School of Music with a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance under the tutelage of Mr. Andre-Michel Schub. In the fall, Dominic will attend Yale University to pursue his Graduate Degree.  In June, he will compete in the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition in Utah.

Cheli made his debut performance at the historic Sheldon Concert Hall earlier this year.  He has been awarded 1st prize in numerous competitions, including: Innsbrook Institute’s Concerto Competition, St. Louis Chamber Orchestra’s Young Artist Competition, Webster University Symphony Orchestra’s Concerto Competition, and the St. Louis Italian-American Federation’s Piano Competition.  Cheli is a recipient of the President’s Merit Scholarship, the G.A. Jr. and Kathryn M. Buder Scholarship, the National Society of Arts and Letters Scholarship, and the Bright Flight Scholarship.
