Support Dog's 30th Anniversary Fundraiser
Support Dogs, Inc. (SDI) will hold a fundraiser to celebrate
30 years of service in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Proceeds will benefit the “Building
Opportunities” capital campaign, which is currently raising $3.5 million to
build a state-of-the-art training facility located at 10955 Linpage Place for
the organization.
The fundraiser will feature a raffle, silent auction
featuring jewelry, wine, and a “Bling Around the Collar” dog collars decorated
by local celebrities and supporters.
Support Dogs, Inc. is a national non-for-profit organization
that offers dignity, hope and independence by providing highly skilled service dogs to individuals with disabilities and uniquely
trained dogs to serve the community. Founded in 1983, the organization
provides many services including an Assistance Dog program which matches people
with various disabilities with a canine partner, an animal-assisted therapy dog
program called TOUCH (Therapy of Unique Canine Helpers), and a Paws For Reading
program that places dogs in school.
