Chesterfield Citizens Committee Helps Make Life "Bear"-able

The Chesterfield Citizens Committee for the Environment is continuing its mission of bringing comfort to kids through donations of “comfort bears” made from scrap/remnant materials.

The committee delivered a collection of the bears to the pediatric unit of St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield. Libbey Tucker, Chesterfield’s economic development director, said the hospitals staff was excited to start distributing them to patients “that could use a little extra cheer.”

Local organization Charity Sharity helped coordinate the collection of fabrics used to make the bears. The committee made a similar donation to the Chesterfield Police Department in May and is working on arranging more donations at other locations as well.
