Financial Planning 101: Starting Your Financial Plan With Just a Few Simple Questions
For my new years' resolution I've made it a goal to get as involved in the community as possible. Little did I know the opportunity was knocking at my door eagerly waiting my initiative.
For my new years’ resolution I’ve made it a goal to get as involved in the community as possible. Little did I know the opportunity was knocking at my door eagerly waiting my initiative. I met with Frank Johnson last week, and he offered me the opportunity to become involved with the Patch! I did not know something this resourceful was available to me.
Living in Chesterfield for the past 15 years has broadened my exposure to economic development. Take the Chesterfield Valley, for example, which was submerged under water in the 90’s. It has since transformed into one of the most booming shopping areas, which attracts visitors from all over St. Louis.
Ever since I was 9 years old I have called Chesterfield my home. When I was 10 years old I began my own lawn business, and by 15 I had opened my own trading account to invest the profits. This early exposure with the market led me to pursue my degree in Finance, and ultimately join the AXIUS Financial team.

I graduated from high school here at Parkway Central and went on to attend college at the University of Missouri-Columbia, just to return to Chesterfield after graduation. There is something that draws me to this city. Of course, the comfort of being able to call this city home since 1998 plays a huge role.
One thing I have always had is a passion for is helping people. I go to sleep at night wondering if my day was successful. Success to me means securing someone’s financial future by making sure they’ll have enough income to maintain their dignity and independence throughout their years and continue on to a comfortable retirement.

I take a lot of personal satisfaction from being able to help others answer the questions they may have about the ever-changing financial industry. With that said, I open my doors, phone line, and email to anyone. Please feel free to get in contact with me at any time. I would be happy to sit down with you for a one-on-one consultation.
I’ll be using this blog to answer some of the common questions I hear from my clients on a daily basis. I’d also love to hear from you, so feel free to email me about the investment and retirement planning issues that concern you and I’ll make sure to discuss those as well.
In your financial planning future, here are some questions to ask yourself:
- “Are you perfectly happy with the financial advice you have received over the last couple of years, if not why?”
- “Do you maintain a strong relationship with your financial advisor and feel comfortable with where you are?”
- “Do you know where everything is and what it is worth?”
- “Do you have enough life insurance to take care of your family if something were to happen to you or a loved one?”
- “Are you aware of how much money it will take for you to retire comfortably and maintain your dignity?”
